I teach writing and language. My research centers on writing across the curriculum and across languages, with ongoing investigations into how reading informs writing, how writing mediates our relationships, and how academic genres are adapted for workplace communication.

I approach both my teaching and administrative work through the lens of genre theory. I am particularly interested in exploring how interdisciplinarity creates spaces for knowledge creation, how genres facilitate the transfer and transformation of knowledge across contexts, and how new genres can be developed to recognize and engage students as knowledge producers.
