Philosophy of Teaching

Learning involves more than just acquiring information- it focuses on developing the whole person. Rather than just memorizing material presented by an instructor it includes hands-on problem solving as an individual and as a group. My job as the instructor is to be a guide that facilitates your learning by providing situations, questions, and a framework for your exploration. I expect you to be an active participant by contributing your opinions, effort and time. A spirit of trust, mutual respect, and intellectual honesty is essential to our learning environment.
