Andy Song

About

Dr. Andy Song is a Professor of Human Services at Tacoma Community College, bringing extensive experience in behavioral health, mental health counseling, education, and community advocacy. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Mental Health Therapist, he has worked across diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, community-based organizations, and clinical programs, supporting individuals and families with complex needs. In addition to teaching, Andy serves as the COO of a local behavioral health agency, where he oversees interdisciplinary services supporting children, adolescents, and families. His academic and professional interests focus on disability inclusion, culturally responsive practices, behavioral health, and improving access to education and community resources. Beyond the classroom, Andy has served as an elected school board director and has been recognized as a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree for his leadership and community contributions. He is passionate about preparing the next generation of human service professionals to lead with compassion, cultural humility, critical thinking, and a commitment to meaningful social change.
