TyResha Jones-Smith Exhibition on Display at TCC Gig Harbor

“Urban Purrge – Resurrection," an exhibition featuring work by artist and interior designer TyResha Jones-Smith, will be on display at TCC Gig Harbor Jan. 5 - March 20.

Meet the artist at the Jan. 8 reception, 5-8p at TCC Gig Harbor.

Jones-Smith has previously exhibited work from her “She Embodies” series in The Gallery's annual TCC Black Artists' Exhibition. As with the “She Embodies” series, the “Urban Purrge – Resurrection” series plays with variations on a theme.

“What influences me is my pure curiosity in how far one great idea can go by being altered into many different variations as I am a firm believer that there are no such things as just one idea as the outcome of the possibilities is endless,” Jones-Smith wrote in her artist's biography.

Jones-Smith said that “Urban Purrge – Resurrection” is one of her all-time favorite abstract series collections.

“What makes this collection unique is that the series is inspired by my interpretation of ancient geometry in the aspects of color theory, shapes and architectural design.”
