Kendra "Krisy" Rachal Elected to Phi Theta Kappa International Officers Team

TCC Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Management student Kendra “Krisy” Rachal is one of five students elected to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) leadership team for the coming academic year. PTK is the international honors society for community and technical colleges, and Rachal will represent the students of Division IV PTK Chapters as Vice President.
Four Vice Presidents and a President were elected March 28 at PTK Catalyst, the organization’s annual convention, held this year in Baltimore, Maryland. The newly elected leaders were selected by their peers from a global membership of more than 220,000 active students.
PTK Division IV, which Rachal will represent during the 2026-27 academic year, is composed of 264 chapters. Her geographical region includes the continental United States from the Rocky Mountains to the West Coast of the United States, western Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Palau, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, and Guam.
PTK chapters typically support their students with scholarship opportunities, leadership development, and implementation experience. Rachal says that TCC’s Chi Gamma Chapter celebrates TCC students’ academic excellence and develops them into leaders.
“We complete service projects that help our campus and surrounding communities,” Rachal said.
As Vice President, Rachal will take on a dynamic leadership role that includes professional development, mentorship, and active involvement in PTK’s work. International Officers also serve as ambassadors for PTK, representing the organization at regional and international events. Rachal and her fellow International Officers will work closely with PTK staff to listen to member experiences, evaluate programs, and contribute ideas that help strengthen opportunities for students across the PTK community.
“Being elected as an International Officer is both an honor and a tremendous opportunity,” said Dr. Lynn Tichner-Ladner, President and CEO of PTK. “These students represent the very best of community college students, and through this experience, they continue to grow as leaders while helping to shape the future of our Society."
