TCC Foundation Welcomes New Board Members, Leadership Team

TCC Foundation welcomed three new members to its leadership board this summer:
Tim Flood
Tim Flood first joined the TCC Foundation in early 2015 and proudly served as Vice President and Chair of the Governance Board for two terms. He has been employed by the City of Tacoma, Tacoma Public Utilities, in the capacity of the railroad’s Terminal Superintendent since 2007. In this role he is responsible for implementing policy, executing the daily operating plan, and supervising 80 employees in the coordination and safe operational movement of all train activities in the Port of Tacoma and beyond.
He began his railroad career in train service, as a Conductor with the BNSF in 1997, and has held the positions of Yardmaster, Trainmaster, and Intermodal Hub Manager. Prior to his railroad career, he served as a Hotshot Wildland Firefighter in California, working on fire suppression efforts throughout the United States. His non-profit experience began with the Transportation Club of Tacoma Board of Directors in 2011 where he has served as President (twice) and was selected Person of the Year in 2016.
He is passionate about education and scholarship and is committed to the Foundation’s mission of inspiring student success. Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. When not overseeing the railroad or supporting his community, he loves gardening, exercise and traveling with his wife Dr. Debra Flood.
Sergio C. Flores
Sergio C. Flores, born in Mexico and raised in Seattle, began his academic journey at Seattle Central Community College, where his studies inspired him to pursue higher education in law and policy. He went on to earn a BA in Political Science from Seattle University and a law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.
As a city prosecutor for over eight years, Sergio champions accountability, compassion, and equity. Passionate about social justice, he played a key role in founding Auburn Community Court in 2021. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time with his husband, friends, and their dog, Blink.
Georgia Riddle
Georgia Riddle has dedicated over 25 years of her career to the banking industry and is currently an accomplished Area Retail Leader for KeyBank. She is passionate about leading and developing teams as well as educating individuals on financial literacy and helping them realize their financial goals.
Georgia joined the TCC Foundation because she believes in the transformative power of education and wants to play a role in making higher education more accessible to members of our community. She has a strong passion for supporting students from underserved backgrounds and believes that education is a pathway to opportunity. Georgia is a TCC alum and knows firsthand the opportunities that TCC provides to students. TCC provided her the opportunity to pursue her education while working full-time. She graduated with her Associates from TCC in 2004 before graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Tacoma in 2006.
In her free time, Georgia is an avid traveler, gardener, and self-proclaimed foodie, and likes to stay active exercising or being outdoors.
