Natalie Hobson

Natalie Hobson is a Professor of Mathematics at Tacoma Community College. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics and a Master's in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia. Her research and teaching interests include equity in mathematics education, diverse pathways in math, and student-centered learning approaches. After completing her graduate work, she was a professor at Sonoma State University in California before wanting to return to Washington state to be closer to family. She has a passion for teaching and promoting well-being in students, as reflected in her teaching methods and encouragement of participation in her courses
