About

Dr. Abdul R. M. Nasser has been a member of the TCC SEM Department since 2024. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa, and a PhD in mathematics from Western Michigan University.

Dr. Nasser views the teaching of mathematics as both a responsibility and a privilege. He serves as the academic advisor for TCC’s Math Club and considers guiding students through mathematical ideas to be one of the most rewarding parts of his work.

Teaching Philosophy

Mathematics, at its core, is a language of wonder. Anyone can learn to speak it once they discover that they already possess the intuition needed to begin.

Research Interests

Isometries; endomorphisms of K[G] modules; quaternions, octonions, and other noncommutative and nonassociative algebraic structures.
