You’ll engage in interactive discussions, gain practical writing techniques, and connect
with fellow writers who share your passion. -2025 KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Rebecca Brown-
Rebecca Brown is the author of 14 books (novels, short stories, essays, prose poems)
published in the US and abroad including The Haunted House, You Tell The Stories You
Need To Believe, and The Gifts of the Body. Her new book, Obscure Destinies is slated
for publication in 2025. Her work has been translated into Japanese, German, Dutch,
Norwegian and Italian. She recently retired from having taught writing and literature
in venues as diverse as prisons, public schools, homeless encampments, senior citizens’
centers, at-risk youth centers, and universities. She was the designer, co-founder
and first curator of the Jack Straw Writers program, and is a former Artistic Director
of the Port Townsend Writers conference. She lives in Seattle where she regularly
