First and foremost, a heartfelt THANK YOU
Our Empowering Dreams 60th Anniversary Benefit on November 8 was a powerful reminder of the people and partnerships that have shaped Tacoma Community College. We are overwhelmed by how our community showed up for TCC—and we are so grateful. If you were unable to attend, we missed you.
This once-in-a-lifetime celebration honored our 60-year legacy, reflected on our journey, and recognized the people and partnerships that have shaped TCC. It also included Live and Silent Auctions, and a Raise the Paddle to invest in our students, community, and the next generation of leaders.
We are proud to share that, thanks to your generosity, we have raised $475,337 so far! This includes a generous $30,000 gift from Judge Fritz and Jean Hayes.

A Story That Inspires
At the event, Melissa Littleton —TCC’s 2025 Distinguished Alumni Honoree—shared how TCC helped her discover her talents, pursue excellence, and embrace service. Now, her daughter Charlotte is following in her footsteps. When Melissa asks Charlotte what she wants to be when she grows up, she says, “The President.”
Here is a photo of Melissa and her children on her very first day at TCC. She wasn’t the only one who grew here—her children did too. Your support creates a legacy that goes far beyond a single scholarship. The opportunity to learn and rise is felt through generations.

This once-in-a-lifetime event brought together nearly 400 supporters, partners, community leaders, faculty, staff, students, and volunteers to reflect on our journey, imagine the future, and continue investing in student success.
