What are you going to school for?  I am going to school for economics with a sociological focus. I am starting a business and I aspire to be a journalist/researcher/documentary producer.

What do you want to achieve as an Office of Student Engagement member this year? I want to encourage students to join the senate so that they can be involved and informed members of our community. I want to advocate for mental health and ensure that there are multiple accessible ways for students to receive the support we need.

What made you decide to become a TCC student?  My sister strongly encouraged me to become a student at TCC to receive a fresh start. I can say that it was honestly the best decision I ever made. TCC gave me opportunity, community, and acceptance. TCC provided me with a safe space where I have been able to express myself authentically.

What advice do you have for new students starting at TCC this year? Leave the past behind. Come in with an open mind. Get involved. Get connected. Join a club. Attend campus events. Take advantage of campus resources. Ask questions. And most importantly, BE YOURSELF. TCC provides the atmosphere for self-discovery and allows you to grow as your authentic self. Take advantage of that.

What is one thing you want TCC students to know about you that you feel will help them understand you better?  I would want students to know that I have come a long way since enrolling at TCC. I have an extremely poor academic history, and I want students who feel discouraged by their history to feel motivated to start fresh and know that there is hope if they come with an open mind. If I could do it, so can you. Also I’m a Pisces.

If you could be any character from a childhood fairytale, book, movie, or TV show; who would you be and why?  Tinkerbell. She’s cute. She’s magical. She can fly. She’s besties with Peter Pan. Doesn’t get much better than that!

You’re at a make-your-own sundae bar. Which toppings do you choose?  Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, and BROWNIES.

If you could have any super power what would it be and why?  If I could have any super power it’d be being able to go back in time and redo my day. I’d be able to take more risks (risk free) and really live life to the fullest. I’d want to be able to redo certain actions if I ever reacted or responded poorly to a situation.
