Chemical Dependency Professional Education

Tacoma Community College offers classes which fulfill the state’s educational requirements for obtaining Chemical Dependency certification.

Our Human Services Certificate (listed below) will supplement a prior college degree to meet the educational competencies required by the state of Washington for the Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) certification.

NOTE: An associate degree is required for the CDP certificate. Separate internship requirements must also be satisfied before certification is awarded.  Apply to the Washington State Department of Health for all state certificates. Students will still need to complete these additional requirements as well as others in order to complete the state certification process.
