English as a Second Language

English as a Second Language (AESL) classes can help you improve English communication, listening, reading, and writing skills to prepare for college and improve job skills. AESL courses are open to immigrants and refugees. Classes are offered during the day and in the evening for students in levels 1 through 6. In addition, we offer evening classes at Fife High School.

Those with F-1, J-1 or M-1 visas are not eligible for AESL courses at TCC. Students with F-1 visas should contact the International Student Program at TCC in Building 11 or call 253.566.5190.

NOTE: B-1, B-2, C, D, N, O-2, P, Q, R S, TC, TN visa holders should confirm with the Department of Homeland Security that attending our program will not affect their immigration status or visa eligibility.
