Exercise Science

Associate of Arts (DTA) Degree

A degree program in exercise science is a step toward a career in sports medicine, fitness and related fields. Fitness coaches, personal trainers, high school and college athletic trainers, community health directors and others rely on knowledge of exercise science. Certification is required for most positions in the health and exercise field.

TCC offers courses that cover the first two years of a typical four-year college science program, as well as courses to develop skills needed for college-level courses. Students will earn an Associate in Arts (DTA) degree to transfer to a four-year college or university.

Degree Program

The Associate of Arts (DTA) degree is directly transferable to most Washington baccalaureate institutions (four-year colleges and universities).
Students who successfully transfer and meet all requirements will be granted junior standing.
