A: It’s a new term for “The period in which human activity has become the main force acting on the natural world.”

Painter Jason Sobottka’s most recent work playfully poses questions and suggests answers about the uncertain future of the natural world. And it invites viewers to push forward and question more.

Currently Lead Professor of Humanities and Fine Art at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Sobottka holds a M.F.A from the University of Minnesota and a B.F.A. from the University of Montana. He launched his college career in Washington’s community and technical college system, obtaining an A.A. at Gray’s Harbor College.
