Tacoma Community College student government provides for direct representation of students in establishing the policies and procedures that affect student life.
The Associated Students of Tacoma Community College (ASTCC) are responsible for:
- developing the Service and Activities Fee Budget
- allocating funds to clubs and organizations
- representing student concerns on various college committees.
Become a Senator!
Any student registered for credit at TCC may become an active part of ASTCC Student Government.
How to become a Senator:
- attend three consecutive Senate Meetings (held bi-monthly)
- passing a parliamentary procedure exam
By becoming an ASTCC Senator, you are entitled voting rights on various issues regarding clubs, student budgets, and student-imposed fees. Senators may also serve on committees appointed by the ASTCC President, Orlando Monserrate.
