Educational Talent Search at Tacoma Community College is committed to providing educational support services to first generation, low-income middle school and high school students in our target area. Program activities are designed to enhance educational success in secondary education and continuation and success in post-secondary education.

To be eligible, a student must be:
- Enrolled at Jason Lee Middle School, Foss High School, or Stadium High School
- A US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Meet the Qualifying criteria:
- A potential first generation college student (neither custodial parent has received a 4 year college degree)
- Be financially limited (according to Federal Standards)
- Demonstrate potential and desire for success at post-secondary education
