Ethnic & Cultural Clubs & Organizations

MECA also supports several campus clubs and co-sponsors a number of activities including lectures, plays, workshops and student leadership development. Clubs that we have traditionally advised and/or supported have been:

• Pride and Allies Club

• Women of Substance
• Men's Group

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special events of a cultural, student development or political nature are occasionally organized by MECA peer advocates.  The Center also helps organize the Free Student Work Shop Series offered each quarter.

MECA also sponsors the annual Diversity Institute at PLU, Student of Color Conference during the month of April (alternates between Yakima and SEATAC) and co-sponsors with PAC The Power of One conference.
