Mission & Objectives

The Educational Talent Search (ETS) program is made possible by the U.S. Department of Education.

“Educational Talent Search is committed to providing students the support and encouragement necessary to complete their secondary education and enroll in a postsecondary institution.  Qualifying participants will receive academic, career, and college advising services, financial literacy resources, and one-on-one assistance when necessary.  Our goal is that ETS students pursue an academic/career field of their choice at the institution of their choice.”

ETS is a federally-funded program designed to help middle school, high school, & re-entry students to both explore their educational & career goals as well as work towards those goals.  ETS based at Tacoma Community College provides services to Jason Lee Middle School, Foss High School, & Stadium High School.

TCC’s ETS program contributes to the college’s commitment to inspire equity among our pre-college community.  Our mission is to provide outreach, support, & encouragement to qualifying participants. Our goal is for ETS students to pursue an academic/career field of their choice at the institution of their choice as we celebrate their success & contribution to our community.
