Tacoma Community College and the Tacoma Housing Authority have formed a partnership to provide a 3-year rental assistance project called the College Housing Assistance Program.  TCC is about to reopen the application period so that we can build a waitlist for the upcoming year.    


If you are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness please consider applying; this program provides housing voucher support for qualified applicants. 

Basic Eligibility

  • Enrolled full time for a minimum of at least 1 quarter at TCC
  • Enrolled in 12 college credits at Tacoma Community College
  • Have completed a FAFSA
  • Not below a 2.0 GPA
  • (Please note that there are other eligibility criteria set forth by the Tacoma Housing Authority)


The open application period is currently closed but will re-open Fall 2016.


An application is attached, and/or you can pick up a hard copy at the front counter of the Advising and Counseling Center (Bldg 7).

Please note that applications must be completed at time of submittal.  Incomplete applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.


Review of application and notification of application status will occur by a date to be announced soon.

If you are experiencing an immediate housing crisis, Access Point 4 Housing may be a good resource. This program is one that is run by Associated Ministries. It offers a central point of entry for household experiencing homeless or those that will be homeless in 72 hours. Please feel free to call them at 253.682.3401 or visit their website.
