Why TCC?

Why Should Your Students Consider TCC?

Because we are committed to giving students every opportunity to reach their goals with a low-cost, high-quality education. We create a positive learning environment that gives students confidence to succeed. That's why within the past 5 years, TCC has been named the #1 community college in Washington state and #17 nationwide.

High quality, affordable education

A college start at TCC is an affordable alternative to tuition at a 4-year institution. Wonder how TCC’s tuition and affordability ranks up against other WA colleges and universities? Learn more: Cost Factors

Know students who are worried about college costs and quality? Let them know that nearly 40% of WA bachelor’s degree graduates are community college transfer students! Also, nearly 50% of TCC’s students benefit from financial aid. Learn More: Costs & Aid

College Transfer & Career Training

Students can earn the equivalent of the first 2 years of a bachelor's degree and transfer to a 4-year university, OR earn a 2-year associate degree. Learn more: Transfer FAQs

We have degrees that transfer to almost any major school, or your student can choose from more than 40 professional and technical degrees and certificates. Learn More: Areas of Study

Diverse culture and active campus life

As part of our 9,000 member Titan family (approximately 400 international students) students will participate in athletics, student government, student media and community involvement. Learn More: Campus Life

Personal attention

By choosing a 2-year school like TCC, students who benefit from personal attention from instructors will find the small class sizes at TCC to their advantage. TCC’s average class size is 25, compared to several hundred at the freshman and sophomore level at a university. At TCC, professors’ focus is teaching, rather than being split between research/teaching responsibilities. Learn more: TCC Faculty
