Thursday, December 13, 2012 – TCC is pleased to welcome Krista Fox, who begins her new role as Tacoma Community College’s Dean of Health, Business & Professional Services in January 2013. In this capacity she will provide leadership for the college’s Allied Health programs and other programs:

  • Nursing, Associate Degree (in conjunction with Associate Dean for Nursing)
  • Radiologic Science
  • Diagnostic Sonography
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Emergency Medical Services
  • Health Information Management
  • Physical Education
  • Human Services
  • Paralegal Services
  • Paraeducation, Early Childhood
  • Accounting
  • Business Services
  • Networking & Convergence Technology

Fox comes to TCC from Green River Community College, where she has served as Dean of Health Sciences, Business and Workforce Services. A Lincoln High School graduate, Fox began her higher education journey at Pierce College and has worked in Washington’s Community and Technical College system for more than 15 years.

With a B.A. in Social Welfare, Fox began her career at Highline Community College as a social worker for a low-income preschool. She obtained her Master in Public Administration from the University of Washington in 2001 and began working for Green River Community College as the South King County Tech Prep Consortium Director in 2004. In this role she worked extensively with professional technical faculty from three partner colleges and career and technical education faculty. She was appointed Dean of Health Sciences, Business and Workforce Services at Green River in 2006.
