International Students who have completed an Associate's degree at TCC and met certain conditions are guaranteed admission at the following partner schools. This guarantee extends to university admission, but not to specific programs. Please contact the schools below for additional details.

University of Washington Tacoma

The University of Washington Tacoma is a four-year university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees located in the heart of Tacoma’s downtown museum district. A campus of the University of Washington, one of the world’s leading research universities, UW Tacoma educates students who want to earn a UW degree in a small-campus environment.

Guaranteed Admission Requirements:

• Completed TCC associate degree
• College-Level GPA: 2.75 or higher
• English Proficiency: TOEFL score or equivalent

Washington State University

Washington State University is a top-tier public research university and one of the largest residential universities in the Western U.S.  Offering nationally ranked programs in fields as diverse as broadcasting, engineering, entrepreneurship, interior design, international business, molecular biosciences, veterinary research, and zoology. Overall, there are more than 90 undergraduate degree programs (and just as many minors), plus professional degrees in pharmacy, nursing, and veterinary medicine.

WSU welcomes international students from over 95 countries and has scholarships!  International transfer applicants will automatically be considered for the International Academic Award: http://iaa.wsu.edu in the amounts of $2,000 or $4,000 per year.

Guaranteed Admission Requirements

• Successfully complete associate degree (transfer) at TCC with a 2.7 GPA.
• Apply for International Undergraduate Admission to WSU-Pullman by the posted priority date at http://apply.wsu.edu.
• Send educational credentials and supporting information including transcripts or evaluation reports.  View requirements online at http://admission.wsu.edu.
• Complete and return the Certificate of Financial Responsibility and provide original, official and current proof of finances.  See current costs online at ip.wsu.edu.
• Meet WSU’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirement by completing ENGLISH 101 and ENGLISH 102 with a 3.0 GPA.

Pacific Lutheran University

Nationally ranked and known for diverse academic programs and personal interaction with professors, PLU provides students with a globally focused, well-rounded education. Each year more than 200 international students from over 20 countries come to PLU.

PLU offers a guaranteed scholarship in the amount of US$4,000 to all TCC international graduates who satisfy the following requirements. Other scholarships are available for high-performing students.

Guaranteed Admission Requirements:

• Completed TCC associate degree
• Completed 2 college-level English writing courses (e.g. English 101, 102, 103) with a grade of B or higher, or a TOEFL score of iBT79 or IELTS score of 6.5
• College-Level GPA: 2.5 or higher
• Have no prior history of academic or social misconduct
• Recommended by the TCC International office

Indiana University South Bend

At IU South Bend, students receive the personal attention of a smaller campus, yet benefit from the vast resources of Indiana University.  Our campus has been selected as a “best college” by the U.S. News and World Report, and our Business School has been selected as an “outstanding business school” by the Princeton Review.  

Students who have earned a TCC associate degree and have a college-level GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for the Chancellor’s Merit Award.  Chancellor’s Merit Award recipients pay in-state tuition fees.
