Tuition and Expenses

As of Fall Quarter 2007, the cost for attending Tacoma Community College each quarter is shown below. The costs for books, housing and personal expenses are estimates and will vary from student to student. Tuition and Fees, including medical insurance, are due NO LATER THAN the second Friday of classes for each quarter. Housing charges are paid directly to the host family if staying in a homestay.

Note: all costs are in US$

We require a financial statement providing proof that US$15,444 is available for the first year of studies. If you bring dependents (husband/wife, children) to the US, your bank statement must show an additional US$3300 for each dependent.

* Based on a standard course load of 15 credits. International students must take a minimum of 12 credits (US$2,555) per quarter.

**Safety Fees: US$15; Facility Fees: US$7.50; Class Fees: average US$35; Technology Fee: $17.50

*** TCC medical insurance is US$192 per quarter. If students have adequate coverage from their home country, they can deduct this fee. For more information, see our Medical Insurance Information page.
