Among the Inuit people, space and time, and how they are depicted and read from pictures are distinctly different from Western ideas. European conventions are based in European mathematical ideas that were developed in the fifteenth century. They require that a depiction show what can be seen from a particular fixed vantage point and at a particular fixed point in time. The Inuit have no such conventions.
