Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize book lending program for BFET/OG/WR students including tracking & labeling books, filling out and filing check out forms, distributing and collecting borrowed books, preparing lists for hold codes if books not returned on time and removal of hold codes, checking books for damages, assisting in inventory and preparing orders to purchase additional books as funding allows.

Create and file program participant files according to specifications for each grant, consolidating files when there is more than one, keeping a list of missing documents for each file and e-mailing students to turn in missing documents.  Assist with end of year archiving of files.

Other duties include copying forms and packets, and assisting students with completion of program forms.  Duties could also include helping new students navigate the TCC portal and email system, assisting with information sessions and answering general questions about the grants and services available. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Alphabetizing/filing
  • Ability to be work with a diverse population of students and to keep their information confidential
  • Knowledge or experience with looking up books required for classes
  • Familiar with TCC and our career training programs of study, TCC web site, portal and email system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

  • Experience with a book lending library, tracking and receiving inventory
