Outreach & Recruitment:

  • Provide basic information related to educational programs and services and enrollment steps to TCC.
  • Assess, respond, and relate to the needs and concerns of prospective students and parents.
  • Assist, unconditionally, students from all backgrounds, regardless of ethnicity, socio-economic status, or gender, as well as through respectful interactions with other TCC representatives in compliance with TCC’s Non-Discrimination Policy. 
  • Conduct campus tours to individuals and groups with an emphasis on enrollment steps.

Event Staffing & Support:

  • Develop constructive relationships with prospective students and their families as well as community groups, high school counselors, teachers, principals, and other constituents.  
  • Professionally represent TCC to its constituents at TCC outreach events and booths, as needed.
  • Transport materials weighing an average of 25-40 pounds.
  • Operate motor vehicle.

Office & Project Support:

  • Assist in the prompt data input and update of a comprehensive contact management system.
  • Schedule and document visits to various events, including school sites and community events.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from prospects via phone, email, web chat, and in person.

Training & Research:

  • Learn & communicate TCC’s admission requirements, program offerings, basic financial aid requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TCC program s and activities of interest to prospective students and the community, and update events calendars for campus and outreach events.
  • Work with Outreach Team Titans to develop training points for that group, and share typical issues and questions one faces representing TCC in the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working effectively in an education or social service delivery setting
  • Computer literacy, effective interpersonal skills
  • A valid unrestricted WA State Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations, ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong leadership skills, effective verbal and written communication skills
