Assist grounds staff:

  • Clear trash from parking lots and campus walkways.
  • Clean smoking shelters using a pressure washer.
  • Maintain grounds: mowing, weeding, fertilizing, trimming, etc. 
  • Mow and edge lawns and care for established lawns, rockery plants, shrubs, trees, flowers, and sprinkler systems.
  • Other light landscaping projects as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Physical demands: significant lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying, pushing and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teambuilding skills as well as independent motivation and application.  Plant and tree identification as well as disease identification and treatment of plants.  Use and maintenance of small engine equipment.
  • Good communication skills, positive attitude, some experience in grounds or landscaping maintenance experience with related equipment and procedures.
