Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet students as they come into the MARC.
  • Check out supplies to students.
  • Train and become proficient in the use of Tutor Trac.
  • Do standard office work such as filing, answering the phone, and keeping front area organized and tidy.
  • Check that supply stock is adequate.
  • Refer students to appropriate tutoring programs as well as other campus programs/resources when appropriate.
  • Enter MARC data collected.
  • Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to promote a professional and friendly atmosphere, learn quickly, and juggle different tasks at once.
  • All applicants are subject to an interview and/or assessment at supervisor’s discretion.
  • Must complete the work study application packet as well as the MARC information form.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous office experience, including computer skills.
  • Previous use of MARC.
  • Previous customer service experience.
