For the first time ever in Washington State a fully accredited and certified polygraph course is offered, right here on the TCC campus. Tacoma Community College is partnering with Marston Polygraph to offer the full nine week course. There are only three accredited polygraph schools in the 11 western states, and none in the Northwest. Marston is a highly recommended and established academy with training experience in several countries along with their home location in California. Graduates most often work for law enforcement, fire departments, federal offices, and the Department of Corrections. Classes start July 7th and only 20 students will be accepted. A clean criminal record is required. A history of working in law enforcement, the military, or fire departments is highly recommended as well as a willingness to travel.

Learn specific Spanish language skills so that you will be better able to manage your Spanish-speaking employees and clientswith employment, medical, and safety issues, as well as construction logistics. THis program is a comprehensive Spanish language program that provides immediate access to functional language skills for non-Spanish-speaking construction site supervisors. How do I get started? this course provides an introduction to project management and project life cycles including initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing. In addition to concrete management tools, student will learn a common terminology for project management; key elements to consider when planning a project; tips to assist in managing teams and building consensus among participants and stakeholders; and strategies for addressing risk and change controls. Real work examples and interactive exercises will help you implement these skills in your work environment.
Use the concepts from the overview course and apply them in Microsoft Project. Create task lists, assign resources, fine-tune your project plans, track your progress, and share and publish project information.
