NEW! Beginning Fly Fishing
The pursuit of fly fishing combines the graceful art of fly casting, the sporting challenge of enticing fish to your fly, and the appreciation of beautiful outdoor settings. Western Washington features a unique multitude of fly fishing possibilities in lakes, mountain streams, and saltwater.
Taught by the staff of the Gig Harbor Fly Shop, this course is designed to take the student from interested novice to self-sufficient angler, prepped for a lifetime of fun and exploration. Class sessions will cover the essential techniques of casting, understanding gear and associated terminology, not tying, where and when to fish locally, and how to present a fly to a variety of species of fish. The final class will be an on-the-water fishing outing.
All equipment is provided. No class July 3. (4 sessions)

NEW! South Sound Kayak Exploration
Explore the waters of the South Puget Sound by kayak. This one-day class of exploration will include a brief educational overview of paddling and safety techniques and tips, free time to paddle around, and a shore-side lunch.
Provided by the staff of the Gig Harbor Fly Shop, four single kayaks and three tandem kayaks are available. Lunch provided. Register early to ensure your space! (1 session)
