April 22-26

Students, faculty and staff come together April 22-26 for a week of service, learning, and community building.  All events are open to the whole campus community!

Tuesday (Earth Day) 4/22:  Student Service Project
Help clean up the campus! Win prizes! Stop by the Campus Clean-up Booth at the Earth Day Fair (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) in the courtyard between the Student Center and the Library for details. Sponsored by Student Life.

Wednesday 4/23:  Climate Change Lecture
How does climate change impact northwest forests? Dr. Sheel Bansal, US Forest Service Olympia, speaks in Bldg. 15-304 at 3 p.m. Sponsored by the Science & Engineering Department.

Thursday 4/24:  Salmon Release
We’ve raised them from eggs – now it’s time to release them into Puget Creek! Vans leave from the front of  Bldg. 15 at 2:30 p.m. to 3502 North Alder Way, Tacoma. Contact Shaun Henderson to sign up for a van seat. Sponsored by the Science & Engineering Department and Puget Creek Restoration Society.

Friday 4/25:  TCC Garden Donation Drive
Help your TCC Garden grow! We’re accepting small tools, plant starts, seeds and volunteer time. TCC Student Garden near Parking Lots K & L, 1-4 p.m. Sponsored by the TCC Environmental Club

Saturday 4/26:  Kia Kaha Restoration
Help restore TCC’s very own wetland! 10-noon, volunteers meet in front of Bldg. 15 at 9:45 a.m. Sponsored by the TCC Sustainability Committee
