BizEd is a category of classes and workshops offered through Tacoma Community College’s Gig Harbor campus.

BizEd supports local businesses by providing relevant and timely education on important topics that business owners need!

Spring 2014 Schedule

Record Keeping & Accounting for Small Business
March 21
          1–5 p.m.          Presenter: Howard Svigals
Workshop cost $45 ($29.25 for Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce members)
Keeping good records and control of your cash flow will go a long way in helping ensure the long-term success of your business -- and you don’t have to be a math whiz to do it. Designed for non-accountants, this workshop helps you understand accounting principles, financial statements, general business records, taxes and management accounting. 
This workshop is presented by Howard Svigals. Mr. Svigals is a volunteer mentor with the Small Business Association’s SCORE program, a national non-profit. He is a retired CFO for a large telephone company and a $20M Non-profit Consortium, with extensive international experience.
