A Working Partnership

For many years and for the benefit of students, high school counselors have played and continue to play an important role in the college readiness process. We acknowledge your instrumental role as key influencers and supporters in your students’ college selection process. You also make a significant contribution to the success of their transition by providing key information, guiding students to meet important deadlines, helping them ‘think big’ AND consider back-up options, and supporting them through what can be a stressful time in their lives.

We value this working partnership. We recognize that in your day-to-day operation, you have many responsibilities and require information that is both timely and accurate. To help support your efforts, we provide a spectrum of resources to make your job easier, including:

• A newly designed website tailored specifically for counselors with resources readily available for your own use, as well as for brief but productive interactions with students;
• A wide range of enrollment support activities, to which counselors can quickly refer interested students to gain more detailed information;
• A new online newsletter for counselors and teachers whose job it is to support students through the transition to college and career, which delivers timely info on a monthly basis;
• Engaging publications, updated with current information, next steps and visual appeal for both prospective students and their families;
• A seasoned outreach team staffing the phones, email and web chat as well as personally visiting your schools. Team members are all fully able to help counselors, prospective students and their parents.

We are continually looking for ways to better serve you, our counselor and teacher partners. We hope that this website, with key links at left, will give you all the tools you need to support a students’ decision to consider TCC.  We have been and continue to be easily reachable via phone and email throughout the year.
