Jason Gjertsen returns to coach at TCC where he was a 2-time NWAACC All-Star in both 1999 & 2000, as well as a member of the 2000 NWAACC Championship soccer team. Gjertsen was named MVP of the 2000 NWAACC Championship Tournament and scored 13 goals in the 2000 season.

Jason is a graduate of Wilson High School where he played 4 years of varsity soccer. During his high school career, he scored 55 goals and had 45 assists.  He was named MVP of the Narrows League in 1998 where he led the league with 21 goals and 20 assists. The Rams qualified for the state playoff tournament 3 out of 4 seasons.

After his career at TCC, Jason went to play at Evergreen State College from 2002-2004. While at Evergreen, Jason was First Team, All Cascade Conference in 2002. In 2004, he was selected to Second Team, All Cascade Conference.  He helped lead Evergreen to a NAIA Region One Championship in 2004, where the school finished 5th at the National Tournament, best in school history.

In addition to his high school, community college, and college success, Jason has continued a career with the PASL Semi-Professional indoor soccer team, the Tacoma Stars. While playing for the Stars from 2004-2010, he was selected to the PASL All-Star team in 2004, 2005, and 2008. In 2004 and 2010, Jason and the Stars won the PASL National Championship.

The TCC program definitely benefits academically and athletically with Jason at the helm. His experience as a high impact player at various levels of the game is a strong recruiting tool and makes him a great role model for the young men and women he coaches. In addition to coaching at TCC, Jason is also the head coach of the boys’ varsity soccer team at Wilson High School.

Jason is currently the Head Coach of the SSFC Shock, a semi-professional indoor team who plays in the PASL Premier League.

Adam Becker - Assistant Coach

adamAdam Becker returns to the Assistant Coaching staff of the Women's Soccer Program for the 2012-13 Season. Coach Becker is currently the Head Coach for the boy's team at Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA. Prior to his coaching at Wilson, Adam coached for 3 years with the Lakes High School JV program. He is also the head coach of the "South Sound FC" U-20 men's team that recently earned 4th place in the nation.

Coach Becker has been a member of the “Tacoma Stars” Semi-professional Indoor team since 2004. Part of the Premier Arena Soccer League, the Stars have won two national championships in 2004 and 2010. In 2006, Adam was selected to the PASL All-Star team as a defender.

Adam’s playing experience dates back to the club soccer level, playing for Norpoint Soccer club and FC Santos. During high school, he was able to take his experience to Amsterdam to compete in the youth international tournament, “Gothia Cup.” After graduating from Stadium High School in 2002, Adam was a member of Tacoma Community College men’s soccer program from 2002-2004, under coach Edelman.

During high school, Adam was able to gain experience in track and cross country. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, cheering on Manchester United, and spending time with his son.

Victoria Clemenson - Assistant Coach

Victoria returns to TCC where she played during the 2010-2011 seasons. In 2011, she was named to the NWAACC All-Star team as defender. After her stint at TCC, she went on to play at Warner Pacific College in Portland, OR. She is currently attending University of Washington-Tacoma where she plans on studying psychology.
