Students must take a select number of general study courses before application to the nursing program. Some courses are used in the application selection process, and other courses are not.

Course work completed at other colleges must be evaluated by TCC Enrollment Services office. Applicants should submit official transcripts from the originating college to TCC. Applicants must first apply to TCC, prior to sending transcripts. Do not send transcripts directly to the nursing program.

Core Prerequisites

Applicants must complete the six core prerequisite courses with a B (3.0) or better in each course, no B-'s before the application deadline.

Each prerequisite course must be passed within two attempts of taking the course to achieve a B (3.0) or higher.Withdrawals count as an attempt.

Note: Unsuccessful attempts that occurred more than 5 years from the date of application will not be counted.
