Concerts and Events

2014-15 TCC Music Concert Dates

Most concerts are in Bldg. 2 on the TCC campus, and begin at 7:30 p.m. Most events are FREE. Please contact department chair John Falskow for more details about specific events.

Many of these concerts are also streamed live on Titan TV 2. Archived video performances are also available at our website.

Fall Quarter 2014

  • October 4 - Groovin' Higher Jazz Orchestra with Army Jazz Band
    Rich Wetzel and his high energy Groovin' Higher Jazz Orchestra team up with the local regional Army jazz band. Great jazz with great musicains. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • November 2- PugetBrass, with Andy Abel (tuba soloist)
    This Seattle-based brass band will be performing masterworks by Gregson and others. Featuring guest tuba soloist, Andy Abel. 2:00 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • November 21 - TCC Orchestra
    Joyce Ramee (viola) and Steven Schermer (bass) are featured soloists. Featuring works by Mozart, Dittersdorf, and Beethoven. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • December 1 - TCC Gospel Choir
    An exciting program featuring a variety of music selections. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • December 3 - TCC Choirs
    Dr. Anne Lyman conducts the TCC Voices and TCC Singers in a program featuring a variety of music selections. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • December 5 - TCC Symphonic Band
    Performing works by Holst, Sparke, Grainger, and others. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • December 6 - A Big Band Christmas
    The Groovin' Higher Jazz Orchestra performs swingin' holiday favorites. Featiring vocalists Steve Stefanowicz and Sunny Jo Loudin. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium.   • December 12 - TCC Jazz Band
    Performing a variety of great big band jazz music. Led by Mr. Eric Stevens. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • December 13 - Christmas Traditions
    Rainier Ringers presents Christmas Traditions. The handbell concert features traditional favorites of the Christmas season including Jingle Bell Rock, Silver Bells, White Christmas, and more. TCC Auditorium, Bldg. 2, 7:00 p.m. Suggested Donation: $10 adults, $8 students & seniors, $25 family.

Winter Quarter 2015

  • January 18 - Brass Unlimited
    A local brass ensemble brings their talents to TCC. Featuring trombonist Bill Dyer and a variety of concert favorites. 3 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • January 24 - Four Piano Extravaganza!
    A fundraiser concert for the local WMTA chapters. This concert features several local piano teachers, performing works for 2-4 pianos. For tickets and more information contact: Paul Twedt, svendell@gmail.com.
  • February 25 - TCC Orchestra
    Featuring soloist Jason Gilliam (euphonium). Works by Sibelius and Bourgeoise. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • March 5 - TCC Choirs
    Dr. Anne Lyman conducts the TCC Voices and TCC Singers in a program featuring a variety of music selections. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
  • March 13 - TCC Symphonic Band
    Performing a variety of masterworks for wind band. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).

Spring Quarter 2015

  • May 15 - TCC Orchestra
    Cindy Renander (clarinet) is the featured soloist. Including Dvorak, Symphony No. 6, and other works. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted)
  • May 28 - TCC Choirs
    Dr. Anne Lyman conducts the TCC Voices and TCC Singers in a program featuring a variety of music selections. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted)
  • May 29 - TCC Symphonic Band
    Performing a variety of masterworks for wind band. 7:30 p.m., Bldg. 2 Auditorium, FREE (donations accepted).
