TCC's Adult Basic Skills program can help you reach your work and educational goals! We have classes and resources at all TCC campus locations to help you improve your reading, writing, math, English language and computer skills. We can also prepare you to earn your GED or high school equivalency.

Improving these basic skills can help you:

  • Prepare for further education
  • Support your family

Program Description

The Adult Basic Skills Department offers a variety of classes for individuals wishing to improve basic reading, writing, math, conversation, employment, computer literacy and life skills. TCC's Adult Basic Skills Programs include:

Eligibility

  • Adults 19 years of age or older
  • Under 19 must be formally released from high school before enrolling
  • Individuals with visitor or international student visas are not eligible

    Note: The EAP program offers intensive college preparatory English language instruction for international students or English language learners who want to prepare for college or university study.

Program Cost

  • Tuition for all basic skills programs is $25 per quarter
  • $5-$15 materials fee charged for most classes

    Note: Some students may be eligible for tuition assistance.
