ANNOUNCEMENT
Prerequisite changes effective immediately

* The 10 year limit on Biology classes has been lifted. Courses will be accepted if more than 10 years old. A student may choose to retake if they feel it would be beneficial to their success.

* The program requirement of face-to-face science labs is lifted. However, the program recommends on-campus labs as the best preparation for its rigorous curriculum.

Fall '13 Deadline (Generic) opens on June 1 and closes on July 1, 2013 at 11:59 p.m.

Program Description

TCC's Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares for employment as a Registered Nurse. The programs structure is progressive, leading to an Associate in Applied Sciences Degree and graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for Registered Nursing.

A graduate who has completed the Associate Degree in Nursing may articulate into a bachelor's degree program at a 4-year institution.

This program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, Georgia 30326, Phone: 404.975.5000 Fax: 404.975.5020).

Applicants interested are encouraged to attend a nursing information session.These sessions are held regularly and last approximately 1½ hours. Applicants will be given information on the nursing profession and application procedures, ending with a Q & A session. Download and review the Information Packet, prior to attending.
