Advising Services

Advisors help you choose an academic plan to achieve educational and career goals. (Every TCC student is assigned an Advising Center advisor OR a faculty advisor from the student's major discipline.)

Future Student Advising & Educational Planning
Still trying to decide where to go or what to do? Meet with a General Academic Advisor or Counselor to discuss exciting academic and career opportunities.

Educational Planning
You know what degree you want to earn at TCC... but what classes should you take and when? Advisors can help you map your goals and then achieve them.

Incoming Transfer Student Transcript Assessment
If you’ve already completed coursework at another college, it’s best to submit official transcripts for evaluation. This will help your advisor place you in classes that are right for your goals. Advisors can use in-state unofficial transcripts for class placement purposes. Out-of-state transcripts always need official review.

Transfer to a 4-year University
Get ready for the next step! Most 4-year colleges and universities in Washington state and across the country accept TCC transfer students. Call to make an appointment with your advisor.
