TCC opened its doors to students in 1965, becoming one of 34 community and technical colleges in Washington state. For more than 40 years, TCC has been committed to creating community within the college and supporting the community surrounding the college.

TCC students achieve 77% placement in their chosen fields. They are helped by more than 140 local business professionals who serve as advisors for TCC's 38 professional/technical programs. These advisors ensure that TCC always provides current, relevant instruction in the following fields:

TCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and offers 46 state-approved professional/technical programs.
