Nursing is a dynamic and exciting profession. As nurses we comprise the largest health care professionals in the United States. We are in an era of provider shortages and the role of the nurse is more important than ever before. Nurse professionals work in a variety of settings which may include clinics, hospitals, long term care, and community settings.

At Tacoma Community College, we are in step with the needs of the community. We offer quality education and produce competent, skilled nurses who excel in all facets of health care delivery. We are proud of our graduates!

There are many ways to get started in the nursing field, such as Nursing Assistant Certified, Licensed practice nurse, Registered Nurse-Associates Degree and Registered Nurse-Bachelors in Nursing Degree. Tacoma Community College offers the following:

Nursing Assistant Certified

Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse (RN) (you have your LPN prior to TCC)

RN-Associates Degree in Nursing

RN-BSN-Pre-Nursing Transfer Degree (You complete the 1st two years of a 4 year program at TCC.)
