Titans Men's soccer in the playoffs!!!

Titans Men's soccer team is back in the NWAACC playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade. It wasn't without a little bit of drama. The Titans needed to get a result in the last game of the season and that is exactly what they did. They were facing Olympic College on Sunday November 4th, with a playoff berth on the line. Titans needed a win or tie to advance to playoffs and Olympic needed a win to move on. With that in mind, it came down to a battle of wills. Titans come out and played with urgency right from the start of the match. After putting lots of pressure on the OC keeper, the titans got on the score board first in the 38th minute with a goal by James Glavin on a free kick served to the near post by Wyatt Plattner. The Halftime score was 1-0 Titans on top. The Titans knew the job was far from finished. At start of the 2nd half the Titans withstood constant pressure from OC's attacking players. as they tried to grab the equalizer. The Titans defense remained stingy and would not allow that to happen. After creating several good chances for themselves the Titans finally broke through with the 2nd goal of the match. The goal came from good movement from one side to the other and was eventually finished by Javier Dieguez in the 84th minute, assisted by sophomore midfielder Malang Camara. Olympic finally got a goal of their own in the 87th minute, but it proved to be a little to late to change the outcome of the match. Titans win 2-1 and will face Whatcom CC on Nov. 7th in a loser out playoff match.
