Men's Soccer get big win on the road

The Tcc men's soccer team got a big win on Saturday as they traveled to Spokane to face a very solid Spokane team, which is currently ranked 7th in the latest Nwaacc coaches poll. The Titans knew they would have to play a very discipline 90 minutes to get a result and that's exactly what they did. The Titans came out with one thing on their mind and that was to get a shutout. Cesar Esquivel started the scoring in the 29th min with a great ball into space from Chris Peterson. With the score 1-0 at halftime the Titans knew the game was far from over. Staying discipline and maintaining the shutout was the focus for the second half. Chris Peterson started the scoring in the second half with a first time strike to the bottom corner on a ball from Cesar Esquivel in the 49th minute. Peterson added another one in the 56th minute when he got a ball from Apolinar Ceras in behind the defense a calmly slotted it by the diving keeper. Cesar Esquivel notched his second goal of the match in the 71st minute when he banged a first time shot on a perfect ball played across by Malang Camara. The defense stayed focused and kept to the game plan, led by goalkeeper Carlos Rodriquez-Martinez who recorded his 3rd shutout of the season. Chris Peterson has 2 goals 1 assist, Cesar Esquivel also had 2 goals 1 assist.
