Tacoma Too Much For Centralia As Titans Sweep Series photo4/15/2015 9:34:00 AM - Tacoma, WA - The Titans took on Centralia in 5 consecutive games due to a rainout that pushed game 1 back. The first 3 games of the series would take place at Centralia with the last 2 played at Minnitti Field. Tacoma would sweep all 5 games of the series.

The offense would set the tone for the series in Game 1 scoring runs in every inning but the 3rd and blowing the game open in the 7th with an 8 run inning for a 15-2 win. The offense managed 12 hits led by 3 hits from Gabe Padukiewicz. Making his 1st start of the year Tom Simpson earned the win on the mound allowing on 3 hits while striking out 4.

Game 2 would mirror Game 1 in many ways as the offense used 14 hits and another 8 run 7th inning to put the game away for an 18-2 win. The offense was led by 3 hit and 3 run performances by both Alex Hull and Clay Valenzuela-Reece and 5 RBI's by Derik Bontempo. Pitcher Justin Vernia cruised to the win and improved his record to a perfect 6-0. He limited the Traliblazers to only 1 run over 6 innings while striking out 4.

In Game 3 the offensive theme continued with the Titans accumulating 13 hits and en-route to another game ending in a run rule, 11-0. Bontempo led the offense again going a perfect 4-4 with triple and a whopping 6 RBI's. Cory Main would get the complete game, shutout win, allowing only 1 hit to go with 5 strikeouts.
