The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

Lady Titans keep play-off hopes alive with 87 – 78 win over Lower Columbia Red Devils

With their backs against the wall, in a must win game the Lady Titans (8-7, 11-13) sophomores Sherelle Williams, Jasmine Scott, Brittany Austin and Claire Swayze wouldn't be denied.


Both teams played a frantic first half with the Red Devils (7-8, 8-16) taking a four point lead headed into half time.


Tacoma forced Lower Columbia into 24 turnovers, while only turning the ball over themselves eight times. Each time hit 11 three point shots. Claire Swayze lead the charge with 29 points, including her right corner 3-pointer stopped an LCC run, giving TCC a 75-68 lead with 2:50 to go. And a minute later, with the shot clock down to two seconds, she buried a 3-pointer to put the Titans up, 80-70. Sherelle Williams ended the night with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 steals. Brittany Austin put up 8 points and 4 rebounds. Jasmine Scott also chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds.


With one game left in their season, the titans are again faced with another must win game Saturday 3PM at Green River.
