The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

Angie Sanchez was firing on all cylinders Saturday night. Sanchez carried the Titans with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Sherrelle Williams also chipped in 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists.

Tacoma (3-1) (6-7) got down by as many as nine points to the T-Birds (3-3) (6-10). The Titans refused to give in, and down the stretch got some huge stops on the defensive end of the floor. Sanchez and Williams went three of four from the free throw line in the last 40 seconds of the game. "This was a great team win for us", head coach Heidi Collier remarked.

The Titans play at home Monday against South Puget Sound at 6:00PM
