The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

The Tacoma Community College Women's basketball (2-1) (5-7) team dug deep and came up with a big early west region win against Centralia (3-1) (8-7).
Swayze led all scorers with 25 points. Sherelle Williams chipped in 16 which included the go ahead free throw off a missed basket with five seconds on the clock. Jasmine Scott recorded a double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Titans held Centralia's Ali Campbell to 16 points, limiting her to only five points in the second half.

The Titans return to action at home on Saturday against Highline at 3:00.
