The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

Women's Basketball lose to first place Centralia

The Lady Titans took on the league leading Centralia Trailblazers last night at the TCC Gym. Despite working hard on defense, forcing 23 turnovers on the Blazers, TCC could not match up for the win.

Sarah Quantz led the Titans with 28 points on the night. Elaina Trammell had 12 points, and Fallon Staples pulled down 8 rebounds. The team travels to Highline College this coming Saturday, 2-20 to play the Thunderbirds at 1:00 p.m.

TCC is 5-8 in league, 10-12 overall.
