The Titans (5-4, 1-0) played at home for the first time this season on Saturday.  The outcome was a 65 -61 victory over Pierce (5-8, 1-1).

TCC controlled the first half and went into halftime up 37- 26.  The titans came out in the second half and built a lead of 18 points behind the guard play of Anngelina Sanchez.  Sanchez had 11 of her 16 points in the first six minutes of the second half. 

Freshman Alexus Grant had a solid performance leading the Titans with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 steals. 

Pierce cut the lead to four points following a 4 point play, which included a made 3 pointer and a free throw.

The TCC Women's Basketball Team defeated Pierce College Saturday night with a score of 69-52. Once more, balanced scoring and rebounding from the starting line-up kept the Titans out in front of the Raiders.

Freshman Sara Quantz led the Titans with 19 points. Kalasa Taumaletia had 16 points and 10 rebounds while Mayra Ortiz had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Elaina Trammell added 13 points to the win. Tacoma is currently in 3rd place in the Western Division with a league record of 2-1 and overall record of 7-5.

The Titans have a bye this Wednesday, and then travel to Grays Harbor on Saturday, January 16th.
